Call for Content – now open!

Folks, you may be familiar with this one… 🙂 We’ve spoken to the sponsors (thanks Communities Team!), we’ve got the venue arranged (√), we know loads of amazing Community Group Leaders will attend (√), but now we need something a bit special: the content!

Opening today, 12th February, and available for the next 3 weeks, until 5pm CET on 5th March, we want to hear from you for our YeurLeadin Call for Content!

We have slots for YeurLeadin that we want to fill. Whether it’s a presentation, panel discussion, something more interactive, that’s down to you.

The only requisite: it should be about running Community Groups (whether it be some or all of the logistics, organising content, working in teams, or something else). And the audience? Well, there’s recently-onboarded CGLs attending our event, as well as seasoned hacks so, it’s up for your to decide. Our pro tip: make your intended audience (and the key takeaways) clear in the “abstract” on the sign up page.

Timetable for the day

  • Date: Saturday, 15th June 2019
  • Networking Time: plenty!
  • Food: booked!
  • Opening Keynote: sorted!
  • 6+ Breakouts: multiple choices at any one time for an action packed day. Sessions length ranges between 25 and 40 minutes.
  • Closing Session: being announced shortly!

What happens once submissions close?

All the applications will be anonymised and a panel of 4 will review them all; the top applications will then be re-reviewed, with names revealed, with a mind to getting the right balance across the event to ensure we have something appropriate content for different group sizes, type of group and CGL experience level. We aim to let everyone know the outcome of their application by the beginning of April.

Do I have to be a Community Group Leader to present?

No, but the focus of the event is on how to make Community Group events even better and easier to put together.

Do you offer MVP expenses?

Sadly not. YeurLeadin is not able to recompense anyone for their expenses.

How are YeurLeadin ticket sales going?

Very nicely! We’re currently at 70% sold (as of early February). There’s still some tickets remaining, so why not recommend to your fellow CGLs to come along too – especially if they’re from other Community Groups, we want to have EMEA covered!

Is signing up at YeurDreamin mandatory?

No. YeurDreamin is a rather awesome event that just happens to be in the same venue, on the previous day. You’ll need to organise your own ticket to YeurDreamin if you want to attend that.
